About Anesthesiology Consultants Exchange (ACE)
Anesthesiology Consultants Exchange, P.C. (ACE) is a private anesthesia practice consisting of an anesthesia care team that includes physicians (MDs and DOs) and Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs).
Excellence in Anesthesia is our goal. ACE’s team approach allows our anesthesia providers to individualize your anesthesia management while maintaining a consistently high quality of care throughout your surgical experience.
History
ACE was formed in 1990 at Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Since our inception, we have merged with Chattanooga Anesthesiology Consultants in 1996 and Chattanooga Anesthesia Service, Inc. in 1998. We are now the sole provider of anesthesia services for Erlanger Health System and SkyRidge in Cleveland, Tennessee.
We have twenty-five Board Certified Anesthesiologists, ninety-six Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists and other clinical and support staff including registered and advanced practice nurses and anesthesia technicians.

Erlanger Baroness Campus: A Level One Regional Trauma Center with anesthesia services provided for acute trauma, neurosurgery, cardiovascular, orthopedic, urologic, plastic and general surgery specialties in 21 operating suites. In-house obstetrical services, including high-risk obstetrics, 24 hour epidural service and c-section surgical services.
Remote anesthesia locations: Radiology (including CT, MRI and Special Procedures), Cardiac Catheterization Lab and Adult GI Lab.
Acute pain service: Depending on the surgical procedure, post-op pain relief may be available in the form of ultrasound guided nerve blocks. The nerve block may be a single dose of local anesthetic or could include the placement of a small catheter connected to a disposable pump.
Erlanger East: Anesthesia services are provided in 4 operating suites and 24 hour obstetrical services including c-section surgical services.
Plaza Outpatient: Anesthesia services are provided in 6 operating suites and 2 GI suites.
Erlanger Children’s Hospital: Anesthesia services are provided for general surgery, ENT, urology, neurosurgery, orthopedics, plastics and pediatric dentistry in 6 operating suites. Patient ages from neonates to young adults.
